Melo LLP is currently seeking a highly skilled Manager to join our reputable public accounting practice. This is a fully remote position. The ideal professional will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and a proven ability to manage and cultivate client relationships within the public accounting sector.
What you will do
- Lead and manage a portfolio of audit, tax, and advisory engagements.
- Plan engagements, including scope, resourcing, and budgeting.
- Provide technical guidance on complex accounting, auditing, and tax matters.
- Mentor, coach, and develop managers, seniors, and junior team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and support staff development.
- Ensure adherence to professional standards, internal policies, and risk management processes.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
- Assist partners with strategic planning and client relationship management.
- Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and related deliverables.
What we are looking for
- CPA designation required.
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with progressive leadership.
- Strong technical knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, and Canadian auditing standards.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex engagements.
- Excellent communication, client service, and project management skills.
- Strong business acumen with ability to contribute to firm growth.
- Proficiency with accounting and audit software; strong MS Office skills.
