Melo LLP is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to join our public accounting office in Strathroy, Ontario. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and a proven track record of managing client relationships within the public accounting sector.

- Lead and oversee a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
- Manage client engagements from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and review of audit, tax, and advisory services.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to address their financial needs and objectives.
- Stay up on regulatory changes, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance with accounting standards and provide value-added insights to clients.
- Collaborate with partners and senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at driving business growth and enhancing organizational effectiveness.
- Drive operational excellence and process improvements within the firm to streamline workflows, optimize resource allocation, and enhance overall productivity.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking events, client presentations, and proposal preparation, to expand the firm's client base and revenue opportunities.
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning within the team, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing among staff members.
- CPA designation required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit, tax, and advisory services.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve excellence.
- Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, analyze complex issues, and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Caseware, Taxprep, and QuickBooks preferred.
