Melo LLP is currently searching for a Commercial and Residential Service Technician for one of our clients located in the Chatham-Kent area.
The ideal candidate would be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment in both commercial and residential properties. This role requires someone with a strong understanding in finish carpentry, flooring, plumbing, roofing, and electrical.
- Diagnosis and Repair: Inspect and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Installation: Install, replace, or upgrade equipment and systems, such as flooring, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, and appliances.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to explain repair options, provide cost estimates, and obtain necessary approvals before proceeding with repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks performed.
- Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call or emergency service requests, which may require working outside of regular business hours.
- Inventory Management: Manage and maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies needed for the job.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in plumbing, electrical, or related field is preferred.
- Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a service technician in a commercial and residential setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
