Accounting Clerk

Melo LLP is a full service accounting firm committed to delivering excellence in accounting and financial management. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team and support our financial operations. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, including processing transactions, maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable. This position demands a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, efficiency, and strong attention to detail.

  • Process accounts payable transactions.
  • Process expense reimbursements.
  • Process biweekly A/P cheque run.
  • Receive A/R payments.
  • Handle A/R collections.
  • Handle data entry and ensure records are up to date.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
  • Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of current experience in an accounting role preferred.
  • Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Salary negotiable based on experience, plus benefits, and RSP matching program available.
  • This role is full-time and in-person only. Hybrid or remote work is not available currently.
