Melo LLP is a full service accounting firm committed to delivering excellence in accounting and financial management. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team and support our financial operations. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, including processing transactions, maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable. This position demands a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, efficiency, and strong attention to detail.
- Process accounts payable transactions.
- Process expense reimbursements.
- Process biweekly A/P cheque run.
- Receive A/R payments.
- Handle A/R collections.
- Handle data entry and ensure records are up to date.
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
- Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of current experience in an accounting role preferred.
- Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Salary negotiable based on experience, plus benefits, and RSP matching program available.
- This role is full-time and in-person only. Hybrid or remote work is not available currently.
