Vice President, Practice Technology & Standards
Elizabeth assists the assurance practice to ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory governance while overseeing the integration of information technology into the firm’s operations. As vice president (VP), Practice Technology & Standards, she guides quality management initiatives, provides training and delivers forward‑thinking, innovative leadership.
While attending Dalhousie University’s Bachelor of Commerce (Co‑op) program, she began her career with a regional accounting firm in Nova Scotia. Elizabeth earned her Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2012 and remained with the firm for 12 years, gaining extensive experience in public practice and assurance.
Prior to joining Melo LLP, she progressed to a top 10 Canadian accounting network at the national level, where she held the roles of Associate National Director of Professional Practice and National Director, Innovation.
In 2021, she completed her Executive Master of Business Administration at Saint Mary’s University, further strengthening her business insight and expanding her professional network.
Elizabeth is passionate about mentoring and supporting colleagues by assisting with complex technical or ethical matters, as well as introducing new tools and technologies that make work more efficient, effective and enjoyable.
