Melo LLP is currently searching for a Restaurant Manager for one of our clients located in the Chatham-Kent area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant facilities.
The primary focus will be to provide an exceptional dining experience to the members and guests while ensuring efficient restaurant management and profitability. Customer Service:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining excellent service standards and promptly addressing member and guest feedback or concerns.
- Collaborate with chefs and culinary staff to create and update menus that cater to diverse preferences, seasonal ingredients, and dietary requirements.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and portion sizes to consistently meet or exceed the club's standards. Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Oversee the procurement and management of restaurant supplies, including food, beverages, equipment, and tableware. Control inventory levels to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Develop and manage the restaurant budget, including revenue projections and cost controls. Implement strategies to maximize profitability and minimize expenses.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote restaurant offerings, special events, and membership benefits. Implement strategies to attract new patrons while retaining existing members.
- Recruit, train, and manage a skilled and motivated restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to enhance team performance.
- Plan and execute special events, banquets, and private functions held in the restaurant area. Ensure seamless coordination between the restaurant and event staff.
- Stay up-to-date with government regulations related to food service and alcohol service. Ensure compliance with all licensing and health code requirements.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure the restaurant's physical facilities, including dining areas, kitchen, and restrooms, are clean, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or relatable experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in golf and country club setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in restaurant software and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, as well as health and safety regulations.
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and control costs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
